Chicago Bound: mPowering You, MBA Annual, and the Women Taking the Stage

Next stop, Chicago ✈️ Three events, one city: mPowering You, MBA Annual, and MBA Tech Exchange.

My calendar is full and my comfortable shoes are packed.

What excites me most is who is taking the stage. Across the three programs, more than 50 women are speaking, and their titles tell the story.

They lead companies: CEOs, presidents, and founders of lenders, servicers, and technology firms.

They run the engine: technology, product, operations, finance, and capital markets.

They set the guardrails: risk, compliance, legal, public policy, and economic research.

As Founding Chair of the Guild for Athena's Council, I spend a lot of time thinking about who gets invited to the microphone. This week, the answer is encouraging, very encouraging! These leaders were asked to speak because of what they know and what they have built, and the industry is better for hearing from them.

Saturday brings one more reason to celebrate. The recipients of the inaugural mPower Visionary Award will be announced on stage at mPowering You, with nearly 100 women nominated from every corner of our industry. I am honored to be on that list, and even prouder of the company I am keeping. Congratulations to every nominee.

So yes, I will be in the audience, taking notes and cheering loudly. Possibly at the same time.
